I just realized he hasn't shown up in ages

Some of yall know the background and innerworkings of internet personalities so I figured I'd ask here

I guess its simply possible hes just busy with his own stuff, but at the same time, he tried expanding on his own with that Bootsy Beats thing and he just left it in the water

From what I understand it boils down to pay and such. No one knows the exact details but the level 1 story is that Bootsy was not actually paid and was "fine" with that, but wanted to get some royalties or something from the board james dvds and such for the use of his songs or something. At the time, Ryan (who I believe has handled a lot of Cinemasacres financial stuff even before they were under screenwave) and Mike (who seems to have not liked Bootsy) decided to boot him.

It seems that the details are so tightly held that probably only James, Mike, Ryan, and Bootsy actually know the full story. From what I've found even people who are currently with Cinemassacre only know a little more than what the public has been able to piece together. AFAIK, James feels bad about the situation but understands from a business perspective (and probably from pressure from Mike and Ryan) that he can't really do anything about it. Ryan's choice in it is mainly from a business perspective and trying to maximize money. Mike seems to be just an ass.

He had started a series called "Bootsy beats" where he was going to go through a play by play walkthrough on beating difficult games. Both James and Mike are very good at retro video games, but Bootsy is probably good enough to be considered a pro. He also had a segment with Mike at the time called Mike and Bootsy, which preceded James and Mike Mondays.

When I was at Too Many Games a few years ago I went to get a signature from James. Mike was sitting next to him. He had an attitude and didn't say a word, giving me a strange look and turning away. I did not ask him for an autograph because it seemed that it would have bothered him. Mind you I was in the line and had waited like everyone else but really didn't pay attention to how he acted to others (This was in 2012, the lines are 10x longer now...attitudes/obligations could be different).

My one interaction with him leads me to think that yes, he is kind of a clown. A donkeys butt. James was cool though, as expected.

Mike makes a decent foil to AVGN. As a pair they're good

but yea, Solo Mike is not good at all. He gets this pouty pissed off look that a 5 year old who just got told they can't get a toy would have when he starts losing. Not to mention the aforementioned HAET DIS yelling

I liked Bootsy though. He seems like a nice guy to hang out with. Hes super chill

My understanding is it was something along the lines of him wanting to be more involved and be a regular paid employee of Cinemassacre and they didn't want to do that so they part ways and he wanted to focus more on his music, but still be a part of the website? There may have been a bit of a falling out involved at least between Mike and Bootsy, though I think those are just rumors?
