Which team general more revenue? Even if it's the men, are women getting paid the same share of revenue as the men's?

A high school men's team could beat the us women, but I wouldn't use that as an argument against the women if they are bringing in money.

I dont know and dont care to research it but I'd bet the house that men's soccer(just like any other sport ever) has a much larger following than women's.

The only sport I can think where it might be even close is mma, and that's only because men and women are on the same card.

It doesn't matter if the men could beat the women. The women are playing against other women. And among women the US is among the best of the world

It's fucked up that the men have never won a world cup and yet they get paid more than the team that has won multiple world cups

This here Forbes article says that the women's brings in a higher percentage of revenue to the players than the men's team does.

So maybe we should actually be paying them less. Or the men should be payed more?

Doesnt matter how much you win, it matters how many people care.

It's like saying it's unfair that an elite basketball player makes more money than an elite cricket player. It doesnt matter how good you are it matters how many eyes you can draw.

but yes, mens' soccer in general makes much more money, and the players are paid more, as is expected.

what i'm saying is reflective of the contract the WNT have with US soccer. it is incredibly easy to define whether a team is responsible for the revenue: did they play in the game that earned the revenue?

there is apparently a clause in the WNT's contract that covers this

no such payments have been made. the SI article notes that the WNT generated more revenue than the MNT in 2015 when the WNT won the world's cup. so their lawsuit probably will be resting on a payment owed for 2015.

i find their lawyer's allusion to figure skating silly since the revenue there is orders of magnitude lower.
