It literally is. They're just more efficient at doing so, because they can prevent hackers from genning the pokemon before they release the pokemon home 2.0 update and receive great press for "giving the players what they want"

This is no different from waiting for Fire Red/Leaf Green to have old gen pokes in RSE, or waiting a few months for Bank to transfer to Sun/Moon

Same story, more efficient implementation

Nope. They specifically said that even after Home is out, pokemon not in the Galar dex cannot be put into the game period, they're not programmed in.

TC's right if Gamefreak do end up adding the others later on. I think they will, but there's a chance that they won't. If they don't, then people have a reason to be pissed off.

They can be added with a patch.

Excepto that all mons were programmed in for rs, unlike here. This has also nothing to do with hackers, they can easily hack in the pokemon that actually are programmed in

Not without a massive install.

That's...literally my fucking point? If you can hack the pokemon that are programmed in, you're taking away from what Nintendo wants - letting the game develop its own meta. People had full living dexes in Sun/Moon before the game officially released.

By not having the Pokemon programmed into the dex, they can't be hacked in. They finally solved a problem I've been pointing out for multiple new game entries. They took my recommendation to scrub the Pokedex from demos (because miners always ripped the entire Pokedex from the demo, finding out all the new Mega pokemon in OR/AS ahead of time for instance), and applied it to the main game.

This all just seems like basic logic to me

Yes, if there's one thing Pokemon is widely known for, it is major content patches.
