Yeah, how long after your suspected cause of potential infection did you take the test? It takes awhile before it can be shown in tests, and to be 100% sure it takes longer time.

However, I was having seroconversion symptoms that passed, so if it were due to seroconversion the virus would have been detected (I got that really expensive RNA test that can detect it in like a week ~90% of the time) I will get tested again at 3 and 6 months and use condoms in the meantime (if i even hook up with anyone -- I probably won't after this experience), but it's extremely unlikely that I have it. ... Okay, yeah. But I can relate. When I had my sex debute at 27, I became a manslut, and topped 2 guys without condom cuz I was dumb and horny, and one of them said he was at some sex party night before and yeah...it gave me a huge scare. I stopped having sex for 6 months, being terrified I had HIV (I also got some cold/flu symptoms but I think it was because of stress). But I had nothing which was a relief. It was a terrifying time.
But then again, life expectancy is better with HIV than with diabetes these days. HIV is worse socially and stuff like that more than healthwise, with proper treatment. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
