Yeah but like I'm a doctor and I frequently go out to breweries with friends, go on rock climbing trips, dating, etc.

So like how "uninteresting" is my life because I don't have an instagram? Like I don't get it. It seems like it's only important to that crowd that spends all their time on it, which is characteristic of every clique, regardless of their proportion spent on social media. Of my group of people who don't have a huge social media presence, it's not something lacking in our lives.

I don't judge those who spend a lot of time on it, but it's kind of weird to assume that if I'm not instagram or twitter popular that I don't have anything going for me.

My online "free time" is spent on message boards (kind of an old habit) and reddit. But I proportionally "do" as many things as anyone with or without social media. Like it makes no difference and publicizing it doesn't legitimize it any more so.

There used to be more of a stigma if you didn't have a Facebook.

Now it's more accepted because a lot of people have come to realize social media is trash. Anyone notice this?

I have Never had a facebook or Twitter account. Dont need or want 1 because i dont give a shit about random people i dont know.

Nope.
They're smarter than most.

All I have is this site and reddit. Neither of which are that sort of social media. People putting up their real names, with their opinions, locations, family pictures, work, etc. is something I will never understand. It's dumb and dangerous.

It's definitely odd, but also understandable. If they have Instagram I'm either too old for them or they're not my type.

I use Twitter for Facebook for news and memes and family/friends. I keep my list really small so I am not influenced by an abundance of negativity.
