Like I don't get it. It seems like it's only important to that crowd that spends all their time on it, which is characteristic of every clique, regardless of their proportion spent on social media. Of my group of people who don't have a huge social media presence, it's not something lacking in our lives. I don't judge those who spend a lot of time on it, but it's kind of weird to assume that if I'm not instagram or twitter popular that I don't have anything going for me. My online "free time" is spent on message boards (kind of an old habit) and reddit. But I proportionally "do" as many things as anyone with or without social media.
