If they make a game that makes me want to play as some of my favorite super heroes every day for a month or two with my friends I will be 100% behind that shit. I'd take that shit over a 8/10 single player experience that they might be able to manage.

People get hard for the Avengers. I don't blame them, I do too, but going that nuts over a normal "barely any gameplay if you believe that the bridge scene was gameplay with some UI cut out perhaps" reveal trailer is over the top, I agree.

Also your statement is a mess of contradiction. You wanted a single player game and yet are upset with a trailer that showed nothing but story? Is that not literally what you want is a good story?

Also there was gameplay in that trailer. Pretty hard to miss it.

It was like a ratio of 1 second of gameplay to one minute of cutscenes.

I want to remind you now that MUA3 is literally right around the corner and outside of the graphics, literally everything else looks a trillion times better and more fun.

It was so excruciatingly obvious that they were stalling for time. That had almost nothing to actually show, and they probably don't even have a clear direction yet.

Typically superhero games are either based directly on the comics or are some official movie tie-in. This looks like an unofficial MCU movie reminiscent of a porn parody.

It's confirmed to be LIVE. SERVICE. focused so while it could have a tacked-on single player campaign, it's intended to be 97% online a la Anthem.

Lmao if this was the case they couldve just not shown up at all like they have all of these years since the licensing deal was announced. Its not like Square needed more hype to carry its conference after all. FF7 couldve done that all by itself.

That being said I hope the gameplay demo on the E3 floor allows for direct capture gameplay because I want to see how it plays.

I said in another topic that my issue is that they're about 90% of the way to looking just like the MCU, but that last 10% drops them in uncanny valley.

I feel this game should have tried to have its own identity like Spidey did. Costumes different enough to stand out, and not having the Avengers be the MCU Six minus Hawkeye.

Ultimate Alliance 3, for example, looks properly different and outside of the MCU. Sure the costumes are *close* to the MCU, but not so close that the different faces/voices look off-brand, and they mixed up the teams so you've got different people together.

EDIT: Now, it could stand that that's just the prologue, and once we rejoin the Avengers members five years later, they look a lot different. If that were the case, I'd think that it would have been better marketing to show *those* looks for the reveal.

Seems like you refuse to read. Most of the current comic designs are actually based off of the MCU designs btw. Especially that Thor design.

why not do the actual original team from the comics

or some variation of it. it may not be exactly the MCU but it's pretty close. and that's one thing I dislike. it's not as different as ps4 Spider-Man was. that was more like the comics even if they did some changes too.
