Im going out of town for a few days and I need my sister to look after my bird and apartment until I am back.

Im paying her but Im just curious what others think is a fair price.

I guess this may not help for pricing, but I've just said ok when friends ask. Family would for sure be no cost.

Edit: But since you offered, what do they think is fair?

Depends how far they're driving and how involved it is. If it's a short drive and just stop by to feed/clean up after them, maybe like $20-40. If she's house sitting for most of the time, maybe $100.

But yeah, I've always had family do it for free. Maybe look up professional pet sitting and do a fraction of that.

How long are you gone and what are the requirements? Do they need to spend time or just food, water? Cage cleaning?
