Residents are horrified after finding cats being horrifically mutilated and some sliced in HALF and DECAPITATED in a California Neighborhood...

One of those residents is Nancy Olsen who said she and her son discovered their beloved cat named Blue had been chopped in HALF and dumped in front of the lawn of the school at Arden Arcade in Sacramento..

She said "It's really hard to wrap your head around seeing your animal chopped in half and we don't know where the other half of his body was"

She discovered Blue's body when she saw his legs a couple of blocks away and she doesn't believe it was a wild animal like a coyote that is behind this gruesome attack and suspects a twisted cat killer behind it

Heer son took a picture of the horrific body of Blue and said there are hunters who live down their block that said "Wow, this is like a machete killing"

This isn't the first time this has happened there as Julie Swiecicki made a similar discovery of her cat who found it DECAPITATED on the road which looked like a "clean cut" and doesn't believe an animal did this and said "A Coyote would just ravage the prey they wouldn't cut the body cleanly in half and leave part of it"

Olsen is pleading for information on what happened as she tries not to think about the last moments of her cat and the terror he felt.

She buried the remains in her back yard..

However, despite the neighbors concerns, Sacramento County Animal Control say this is a seasonal pattern and say COYOTES ARE RESPONSIBLE for this as it's "cub rearing" season that kill cats by slicing them horizontally or diagonally or even decapitate them..

Experts are advising locals to keep their pets inside as the season hits

Without a picture to gauge the wound, but no coyote can cut an animal in a way resembling a knife wound.
