I found two chairs basically out in the nowhere today so its time for this topic.

I found this hidden oasis barely off the trail earlier this year but today I discovered these chairs across from the oasis down by the lake. And I know but oasis suits it.

Side note yesterday I got to pet a super chill wild deer. Today two aggressive young bucks blocked my path for almost ten minutes. Got video of the deers in both cases but I have nowhere to upload em I can share on ce.

Last night when I met the cool doe I was drunk enough I mentioned ce while filming her. Lol.

If I wasnt lazy Id even edit the deer footage together and maybe actually use my YouTube account.

Well thanks for reminding me the closest place to me with a decent burrito is a 45 minute drive and a border crossing away.

Side note I sat on that bench like an idiot watching as this huge storm rolled in and the temperature went from like 26 Celsius to about 6 Celsius and it rained torrentially and part of the path I had to ride home on was a rut with 6 inches of water in it and 5 foot high grass in either side. But the worst thing was it was raining so hard I couldnt keep my screen dry to change tunes or get pics.

A pond in front of a Wegmans corporate office that I pass by on my way to other places around town. It's not much but it's the closest thing to a cool place that I get to see regularly, I guess.

I actually found a snoopy pillow I made, in a cemetery close to me, that my brother brought there as part of a fort. ((I didn't know it was there. I didn't know the fort was there)) Needless to I rescued the snoopy pillow!

Ya, my Canoe hasn't hit the water in a while.
I miiight go tomorrow, though the weekends aren't to good for that.
At least not where I would be going. But I'm at the point of not caring.

Either way, Canoeing is better on my foot...which is coming along, but I want to keep it that way.

Hell, just the act of putting on the wrack was positive. Done in the middle of the night...of course!

Yeah the hardest thing when yer injured and wanna get out there is just not pushing it too soon imo. I use to have a kayak but I have no space for it now so my boat is an air mattress. Lol.

It took me a while to figure this one out.
But Ya, I got it now.

Yeah that was a really lazy effort. Lol. Couldnt even leave my storage / laundry room where I keep that stuff.

Ive never done city / structural fire fighting but I spent two summers doing wildfire fire fighting. Was pretty good but holy crap I felt old. Average age of those guys is maybe mid 20s.

I outworked most of em though. I wish Id gotten into it earlier tbh. Construction is what I do though. Got the experience so it pays more and also I actually have free time in the summer.

Well I'm in my early 40's and I can sometimes relate to people in their 20's better than the boomers. But the whole cellphone culture is starting to infringe on that. ((I'm seeing what it has done to the development of certain read Peopling skills, which isn't good))

But ya, fire fighting is nothing to laugh at. It's some real shit.

Nice. Looking forward to the pics. It really is hard work. Digging guard while inhaling smoke and working in plus 40 Celsius heat is brutal but some of the hot spots on clean up where we had to pack in piss cans and then pack em out and fill em and pack em back across this steep scree slide up and down for nearly a kilometre almost killed me.

Awesome thing was my dad is a fire warden and was working that spot with his crew so it ended up with only me and my then 58 year old dad still packing in water and everyone else just giving up and pretending to dig in out the stump whenever one of us showed back up. Lol. And everyone else was in their 20s.

But I also agree I frequently relate better to younger people and Ill be 37 in July. My 3 best friends are 40 42 and 26. Honestly have the most fun and am most similar to the youngest dude. Plus I suck at relationships and when I meet girls irl (which is basically a summer thing here lol) theyre generally in their 20s. I once had a very awkward convo with a girl I thought was way older who thought I was way younger after Tupac was on the radio and I mentioned listening to him in grade 8 and and how crazy it was when he got shot. Hahaha

Haha, ya. I get mistaken for being younger than I am. It is a blessing and a curse. Well, it's a blessing. But it sucks you can get a girl on the hook, but she is that much younger.
And ya, hiking is enough work on its own. Doing it under duress and with a more than full pack has got to be brutal. I think of some of the misery some of the soldiers went through when I'm hiking. Same hills different area.

Anyway, I put my Canoe on my car and intend on heading out in a few hours.
