Dunno. I always make quick stew with onions, some cloves of garlic, potatoes and carrot they make decent broth.

Instead of tossing them I keep vegetable scraps in a bag in the freezer and then just make stock with it whenever I have enough. Anything goes

If I make a stock from nothing my go to is leek, onion, peppercorn, bay leaf, carrot, celery, dried mushrooms, and fresh thyme and parsley

Protip: use roasted vegetables to make stock with more complex flavor. omg I char the shit out of my ginger and onions for making pho stock

That is a fucking brilliant idea. Hell i could use stuff like carrot skin, the bits from onion butts and stuff.

Mmm i have a similar technique that my mom taught me. Basically you pan sear it with little oil on a pan. Not enough to make them cooked, but cover them slightly with oil and make the outside hot and little charred.
