I shouldnt have to compromise on height. A man should naturally be over 6 feet

So Im in a group chat with some friends and a girl Im friends with said this. Men of CE, how do you feel about this? We all know women love tall guys.

I dont understand this obsession with 6 minimum. It seems to be more of a status thing over actual attraction nowadays. Dont get me wrong, I prefer men to be taller than me but at some point there is such a thing as too tall. At 52, a man in the 58-510 range is perfect for me. I dated a guy who was 61 and it was awkward tbh.

Height requirements for guys are the most common request I see in women's online dating profiles.

I'm 6'2 and dating a girl that is 5'3, so basically the same difference. I haven't noticed anything too awkward yet, and she can wear pretty much what ever sized heals she wants and not be taller than me. It is funny when I hug her that I can rest my chin on her head though >_>

It's a freakin' arbitrary and silly way to valuate someone and most women are seriously shooting themselves in the foot over it by reducing their potential dating pool massively over a factor that really does not matter in the scheme of things. I can understand a woman wanting to feel smaller than their partner. I can't understand a woman who is already smaller feeling fundamentally different about a guy that is 5ft10 versus a guy that is 6ft1. You're 5ft1 Karen, literally anyone over 5ft4 is going to make you feel small. Pull your head out of your ass.

That is what I want to tell them. But you can't really tell someone what they should be attracted to or that someone else is entitled to them to date them.

This isn't small guy rage either. I'm 6ft1, this is not a problem I encounter. I feel for shorter guys though that deal with this.

I think I'm around 6' - to 6'1" now, but I remember when I was about 5'10", this girl I know was like, "boxington is about the perfect height, for me"

and then when she asked how tall I was, and I told her that I was about 5'10", she said something like, "oh, no" lol

It's usually women your height and lower that have these strict dating requirements. I don't even think taller girls care as much as long as the dude is taller.

They're probably the ones who are more open to dating shorter dudes in the first place, depending on where they live. There's this new girl at work, looks to be about 6', maybe a little less, and she towers over most of us. I can count on two hands the amount of dudes near or equal to her height.

I wonder where this distorted view on height came from since life doesn't reflect these "standards" at all.

Just another point on the board on why the majority of men and women these days just don't get along. Both genders have their stupid fucking views such as this one, and it's not a small minority that sees it this way. They are willing to die on their cross for these views as well.

Women are fucking stupid and vain, so are men. Everybody fucking sucks and can't look past trivial things such as height or eye color, etc.

There is a difference between height and weight, tho. Weight is very much controllable, outside of some serious medical condition. You're height is something beyond your control, aside from fucked up height surgery, if you consider that an option.

Preference is preference, tho. If you prefer someone be a certain height, then good on you. Stating that someone should naturally be a certain height is kinda ignorant, tho. Seeing as how it is beyond that persons control.
