Vertania 06/04/19 6:10:02 PM #1:	Ive put a lot of thought into this and decided its finally time to part with CE. Ive been posting here since my early teenage years and, for better or for worse (mostly for worse), this community has been a huge part of my life. Ive learned a lot here; like the importance of research and of considering others opinions, how to argue more effectively, and how to practice and improve my writing. There are quite a few things factoring into my decision, but the main thing is that Im now 30 years old and value time with my family much more than time arguing over insignificant things with online strangers. Im engaged, I have an 18-month-old daughter, and I have another baby girl coming next month. Another main factor, for those of you familiar with me, is this whole bullshit Pizzagater reputation thats been following me around for the last three years. I do actually enjoy having political debates on this board, but its gotten to the point where I cant even do that anymore. If someone doesnt like what Im saying and/or doesnt want to argue against any actual points I make, theyll just bring up Pizzagate in an attempt to insult and discredit me. Certain users (you know who you are) played a larger role in spreading misrepresentations of what I actually said about the topic than others, while the mods continuously allowed it to occur. Lastly, this board has just grown unbearably toxic since the 2016 election. Users I used to respect and get along well with have seemingly become miserably obsessed with arguing for their side and ganging up against anyone who disagrees with them. They dont seem to realize that this behavior, whichever side it comes from, just pushes the other more towards the opposite extreme. My account turns 16 on Thursday, June 6th, so I plan on submitting the request for closure that morning. I understand where you are coming from, i'm in my mid 30's and have a kid on the way, but I still have enough people around here, the majority of CE, that I like that I don't intend on leaving. I do try to avoid anything about the news, politics, race discussion, etc that can get very toxic and vicious, I try to just stick to having fun and discussing lighter topics like tits, beer and gaming. Good luck to you and I hope you find a happier place in life without this place, if that's what you feel like you need to do to advance yourself forward. N64 had some of the highest quality games of all time imo (OoT, B-K, SM64), while PS2 had variety and introduced me to sandbox games (GTA trilogy) and online multiplayer (mutherfucking Socom II). Handheld is tricky because Ive always been one to, uh, make the most of the hardware.
