It's kinda disappointing they already did him. cause he's like the Thanos of Godzilla universe. but rumor is the next movie is the last one they are allowed to do anyway

Lol Ghidorah is the Vegeta of the Godzilla universe. He looks cool, acts tough, but he aint nothin.

Mecha Godzilla has consistently fucked Godzilla up the most in every movie he appears, but hes not really final boss material.

Space Godzilla is just an alien version of Godzilla. Hes also a little punk whose best feat is picking on baby Godzilla.

The most dangerous bad boy in the franchise is Destoroyah, who actually is probably the closest thing to a Thanos the franchise has.

The early Hesei movies ran from 84 to 94 and followed up the continuity of the original movie. They were all stand alone movies (in that you can watch any one of them and not be lost)but featured a connected continuity and threads from the previous movie informed the next. There were a few recurring humans too.

Anyways the early Hesei ends with Destoroyah, which was Evolved from
Ancient microscopic life forms that were brought back to life thanks to the Oxygen destroyer weapon that killed the original Godzilla in 1954

He wasnt built up like Thanos was, but in terms of lore-based villains to cap off a multi-film universe, he was probably the closest analog

Nah Ghidorah is badass, isn't he like the most popular monster in the franchise? Doesn't get much cooler than a 3 headed Lightning Dragon. And he got the best of Godzilla multiple times in the movie. I don't really see how they can top him.

Like Zikten said I almost feel like they should have waited a bit longer to have him in, but then this movie wouldn't have been as cool. And to add to that, I'm not sure how Godzilla vs Kong can be all that great, not to mention neither of them are really bad titans.

Ghidorah has Boba Fett popularity.

He was totally badass in this movie though. Straight lovecraftian cosmic horror beast that wrecked everything.

Oh, fun! Try it!

If you want the old movies, Criterion has most of them licensed and theyre available for streaming on Starz, the Criterion streaming service, and sometimes Hulu.

Some of the ones not licensed by them are on VRV

The early Hesei and the Millenium series arent streaming to my knowledge, but theyre really easy to find on Blu-ray and dvd. Generally cheap too. (Usually two movies for about ten dollars). If you have a FYE or something similar nearby, its almost guaranteed they have a few.

Only film thats a jerk to watch legally is Godzilla VS Biollante. Its licensed by Miramax and both the dvd and the Blu-ray are out of print.

Three different incarnations.

70s Mecha was an alien robot

90s Mecha was a Gundam for humans

00s Mecha was a Gundam built around the literal bones of the original Godzilla

No the only monster that has Thanos status to my knowledge would be Destoroyah, who Godzilla could NOT defeat without the help of the humans freeze ray. Even though he was critically injured by Big G it was the humans that finished him off.

Destoroyah is a bigger threat then Ghidorah as even Burning mode Godzilla could not kill him, only severely wound him. Had the humans not finished him off it is likely Destoroyah could have lived to fight another day.
