Trump is a public figure, arguably the most powerful man in the world, getting jokes hurled at him by media personalities - other public figures. This Vox guy runs a sub-series of YouTube videos for a news website, and the person going after him uses the same platform and uses dirty tactics to harass his opponents in a way that you literally cannot do to the President of the United States. There's a bigger discrepancy of power between a late night talk show host and the President of the United States then there is between Crowder and this Vox guy. Yeah, Vox guy works for a publication while Crowder is entirely independent. But the only reason things have gotten this bad for Crowder is because he and his fans call him a queer and constantly make these bad faith arguments about the liherals silencing free speech. Crowder's behavior has led to his fanbase tracking down the Vox guy's phone number to further harass and intimidate him. He compares himself to John Oliver and Stephen Colbert, but the person he's picking on is some content creator working under a lower umbrella within Vox, some third-tier corporate worker. God forbid the media cracks dumb, pithy jokes about the most powerful man in America. Of course that's comparable to the repeated targeted harassment of a journalist.
