Should I play all those games?

I love them. They have a shared world/history/lore ala the Elder Scrolls series. One of the main things about them is that you can recruit 108 characters & doing so unlocks something special in each game.
The first is pretty simple & can be beaten in under 20 hours. The second is considered the best game in the series by most people as it improves on everything from the first game-- better plot & characters, deeper gameplay, great music, etc. The third has the deepest gameplay in the series with a fairly intricate skill system, and a fairly complicated plot that follows multiple POVs instead of a single main character. Suikoden 4 is the weakest in the series by far. A lot of things were stripped down sadly. Tactics is a direct sequel to it that's just kinda meh. Suikoden 5 is a return to form of the earlier games & really great. ... Copied to Clipboard!

They are easily the best classic RPGs.
The first two are ps classics and are easy to get digitally. 3 was rereleased digitally on PS3 4 was rough around the edges but has a companion game in Suikoden Tactics. 5 was easily the best of the bunch, brought everything back full circle. --- John Watson: "Well it isn't obvious to me." tho keep in mind 1&2 have some mild issues w/ translations and 2 has some musical bugs in the NA version that are supposedly fixed in EU but they're sitll fantastic games...

I liked 4 second most behind 2 but it was also my first so I might be super biased there.
