The illustrations were creepy as fuck and have been burned into my brain forever, but don't really remember any of the specific stories and the movie costumes aren't nearly as scary as those pictures.

I was born in 92. They were in every book fair my elementary schools had. They were in most school and class libraries.

Well then it last lasted longer than i thought. I'm only familiar with them in the early 90s. When I first found the books was 1991 and then I always felt like later Goosebumps overshadowed it.

the stories themselves weren't anything amazing, it was the illustrations that did it. hopefully the way they choose to portray those stories is good here...
