I can't remember if my Chansey made it to 100 or not, but I have no intention of evolving her since she's better competitively as a Chansey.

I don't think I've ever gotten a Pokemon to level 100 without using rare candy. The closest was HG where I got my Typhlosion to 90

A few times. Most recently, I used a Charjabug throughout the entirety of Sun version. The area you have to reach to evolve it to Vikavolt is so late in the game that you basically only get to use it for a few major battles. I just decided to give it an Eviolite to boost its defenses and keep it a Charjabug until the very end.
