I got the whole series excluding first Blood Omen for less than 10 dollars during the Summer sale.
I watched the story of Blood Omen 1 on Youtube and started Soul Reaver.
I love the world and characters...I finished the second boss so far and am at the cathedral now.
Nosgoth is great, I wish I could live there tbh.

I remember my brothers loving soul reaver, but stating they can be hard, including on the brain.

Combat is easy so far. The puzzles are pretty straightforward. It's definitely nothing controller/keyboard-breaking. I'm using a keyboard so some of the jumps you gotta take are probably harder than on console.
BTW I'm pretty sure the PC version has some awesome patch installed on it because the graphics most-definitely do not look PS1 at all. More like PS2, maybe even PS3.

It wouldnt call the ending a cliffhanger. There are definitely still unanswered questions and some things left unresolved but I think it was also a decent ending point for the series even if that wasnt the plan.

What was your opinion of Defiance as a whole?
The 2 games in the series that seem to get panned are Defiance and Blood Omen 2.
I often rented Blood Omen 2 when I was young but don't remember much other than having trouble with the combat because I sucked, xD

Defiance is the best game in the series as far as Im concerned

The gameplay is more approachable and the story interweaving between Kain and Raziel makes for a even better storytelling

Ive only played the first and the beginning of blood omen 2. Wish I could play and finish it. Bo 1 was allright.

Only problem I had with BO1 is that Kain never fucking shuts up. This is somewhat alleviated by him being Simon Templeman, who is awesome. ^_^

BO2 had that whole "weapons which take damage as you use them" deal which I detest.

I bought the first two on PSN around Xmas for under $5. I had never played them but the deal was too good to pass up. I also got Megaman Legends 1 & 2 for another $7~.

I much preferred the first LoK game. The second game is alright but I started it with a friend and payed for a couple hours. When I came back, I learned you start at the begining of the game and you need to remember the awkward shapes of the runes to get back to where you were. I got lost and ended up wandering areas I had already been. I never came back to it - I bought Castlevania Chronicles, Suikoden, MGS: VR Missions, and FFVII for $14~ last month. I have been playing way too much FFVII now.

These PSN sales are fantastic though, that is for sure.
