Poll of the Day > Anyone else here still bother buying toys to life stuff? (Example - Skylanders)

Picked up some used Amiibos (Chibi-Robo and some Fire Emblem girl) and Skylanders (Gen 1 Spyro, couple of Giants and a cannon) today, just curious if anyone else still bothers with these things.

Most of the games have been discontinued at this point. Amiibo still does new stuff to my knowledge and I think Skylanders still has some chance to continue, but the only other 'active' game I know is Starlink, and they went digital only with the second gen content.

I sometimes pick the stuff up as collectibles if I see it around at a good price. I haven't really used any of them, excluding when I briefly played a Skylanders game (which was better than I thought it'd be and can't remember why I stopped, although I probably got busy for a few days and then afterward became interested in another game).

I'm still a little surprised and disappointed that even Skylanders finally died off, although it helped make the stuff cheaper. In general, I'm not sure I paid full list for anything except maybe an Amiibo and I tend to avoid Amiibos in general.

I only ever really did Lego Dimensions and Amiibos, and the former was discontinued a while back. I get the Amiibo I'm interested in. Recently pre-ordered the Pokmon Trainer Amiibo.

Lego Dimensions I never really got the appeal of, but mostly because they were basically just Legos whereas the other series were their own thing.

It is a good game. Basically like the standard licensed Lego games, just with Toy to Life features and Lego. You can build your stuff and get new levels with some of the characters.

Ive wanted to buy some amiibos but never have. Not to use but just as decorational pieces and if I so happen find a use for them in the future thats a bonus.

This is it, I love the lego games meself, so a massive cross-franchise game was amazing, the figures themeselves were just a bonus, albiet a rather cool bonus, I had a lot of fun building them.
