spudger 05/29/19 8:39:42 PM #9:	A few of the puzzles, especially towards the end game, are obtuse enough that even with the clues provided youll have to make a logical leap to figure them out. I loved how much Outer Wilds tested my ability to bring the clues provided together in the right way. I got 20 minutes into Void Bastards and it was all over, 6 hours later i'm going to bed at 4am and now working on less than 3 hours of sleep. I'm probably gonna try Outer Wilds tonight, but I also recommend Void Bastards, especially for the free download on Gamepass. I went to their crowdfunding page and they just say it's going to be released "digitally" but in the updates it literally says it's going to be released on Steam and the Windows Store, no mention of Epic at all. The aesthetics are great, and the world design is wonderfully done. Since it's not randomly generated, each area is hand tailored which makes for a vastly more compelling way to spend your time. Not sure how I feel about the time limit so far. It's justified in the story, but from a purely mechanical standpoint it keeps breaking up the gameplay for no good reason. You'll be exploring an area and then suddenly your time limit will be up. So you watch a brief flashback, hop back in your ship and fly back to where you were, and all that was accomplished was wasting 3 or 4 minutes of your time. The game is also dying for a few more gameplay mechanics. From what I've played so far, it's basically walking around and reading text with the occasional minor puzzle.
