Now that the dispute handling is done by majority, do people like this new way of moderation dispute?

Personally, i think it's a good thing but ONLY if the majority vote is different every time with DIFFERENT people. It shouldn't be all the moderators who get to vote but it randomly selects people each time and a majority is voted upon that group.

Idk. It depends on how the voting system actually works internally. I feel like there is a bigger potential for corruption if moderators just plain don't like the poster. But then again that was true with the old system.

Just an excuse to lay off the moderation load while pretending it's an improvement to the users.

I don't know how many disputes are done in a day, hundreds at least I would guess, and we're expected to believe there's going to be all kinds of voting for each and every one? And that is supposed to be somehow more efficient? Not to mention this effectively punishes users for disputing, even legit disputes, because we all know the vast majority of disputes are getting upheld whether just or not, and now it's on record for a ridiculous amount of time.

No, no I don't like it and this is another nail in the coffin imo. This shit will probably drive away even more users.

GameFAQs just doesn't get it. Moderation systems are not for policing the community's manners and politeness. They're a barrier for extreme and potentially illegal content.

Go to 4chan or YouTube if you want that. Most people aren't interested in an unprotected environment where you can say all the racial slurs and death threats you want

I'd be more interested in that type of environment so I can actually call out and lambast the trolls and racists without getting modded.

Better than what we have now, a place where trolls and racists run rampant but are pretty much a protected class because any attempt to call them out gets you smacked with a moderation, emboldening them further
