half life 3

i'm already over GoT. to try and fill the void of winds i spent a ton of time just reading up on real life history and i've realized shits way more interesting and nuanced than GoT ever could be

12 years since the last Half-Life & Episode 3 was already canceled.

That makes Martin's 8 years not so bad. And at least he has put out sample chapters, so we know he's actually working on it.

Valve is just the company that runs Steam now.

Those sample chapters were finished before 2011 and just didn't make it into Dance because we needed to hear more about Dany's bunny ears and Tyrion riding pigs

asoiaf isn't nuanced

i like the writing the characters and stuff but asoiaf is history for normies, it lacks any of the nuance of the real world and makes up for it with magic and dragons

Half-Life 3 just straight up isn't happening. Winds of Winter is severely delayed, but I do think it will eventually release.
