I loved Skytown, and 3 in general. It was more actiony, especially at the start, but it was still enjoyable.

The game used its best boss fight (Rundas) super early though.

Im looking forward to completing the trilogy.

Echoes is confusing sometimes but fantastic so far. Love some of these locations.

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the bosses when you beat them. Not only is the difficulty ramped up, but some of those bosses are just interesting to fight with all the different things they throw at you. I love the bosses where you fight them in morph ball form (there are a few).

oh nooooo, I wouldnt say that. I think the GFS Valhalla is one of the most memorable moments in the trilogy. I also think bryyo is pretty rad. the other locations, outside of maybe phaaze, are all pretty lackluster though.

I think they're very memorable as design setpieces, for sure. Skytown is another one I'd add to that list. But in terms of like, level geometry, interesting connections, neat secrets and hidden areas, etc etc, nothing sticks in my mind at all. They're great on the aesthetic side of design but the gameplay side of design is sorely lacking

ah, ok, I can get behind that line of thinking. the multiple planets approach kept them from really developing any of them. Id be lying if I said it wasnt one of the most linear metroid games.

also, the Pull, Twist, Push interactions they filled the game to the brim with aged like milk. and they werent great to begin with.

I havent fought anybody yet that seemed unique. Just the space jump Ing aswell as the bomb boss.

Still having fun though

Oh you'll know them when you fight them. Some bosses on Echoes are infamous around the internet.

Its annoying how fast your health goes down in the dark. I found myself standing in the light crystals for annoying amounts of time lol

Lol, yeah. Thankfully you get something that increases your resistance to that fairly early.
