I really want to try one but they don't do rentals or anything like that. They're too expensive to just buy without trying for sure. I wonder if I got one if I would end up playing it often enough to make it worth it. Tuning all those strings might be a pain too. But they have a nice sound and the playing style is really interesting. You can just learn a certain chord type like major 7th and you can move it left and right and up and down on the fretboard, and it will always be a major 7th chord, just in a different key. So it's really easy to transpose songs or play a similar pattern in a different chord. Stevie Wonder recently got into playing it as well

Anything with more than nine (probably ten, soon) strings is too many for me. I'll tune up a 9-string, but I won't ever bother with a 12. More-so because of the tuning, and less because of the amount of strings.

Yeah that would be annoying. Although for a while I played a harp which was thirty something strings. Took a long time to tune that. Maybe this would be easier in comparison

I have not. I should learn more video game music. Nowadays I just improvise on piano mostly. I used to know Kraid from metroid on piano, still do a little bit. Some zelda songs I've forgotten too lol
