I had Super Return of the Jedi for more than 15 years before I found out that Leia had a charge attack. If you hold the attack button, nothing happens. If you hold it for two seconds, she'll finally blink letting you know that she's ready to fire a charge attack.

I'm currently playing Werewolf: The Last Warrior on NES. I've had the game for a few years now and I had no idea that Werewolf had a charge attack. I read the instruction manual last night and was shocked when they mentioned he had a wave attack. (It also makes for a cool victory pose when he wins his boss fights as he raises his hands in the air.)

Did Leia in the rebel outfit have any abilities? I seem to remember that being the blandest version of her in the game.

I don't think so. She was pretty much Han without grenades.

Props to them though for giving her three different outfits. That was pretty neat.

I only learned about the Leia thing like a year ago. I had the game since I was a little kid.

Without the charged shot, it's impossible for Leia to defeat Jabba the Hutt. I tried for three hours to do it. That's how I found out about the charged shot. After a while, enemies clutter the screen and are more than what she can avoid by jumping and striking alone.

When I saw footage online, I was sure they were using some kind of cheat code.

Werewolf was a messed up game. How am I supposed to take it serious when the jump and attack buttons are mapped the wrong way?
