It would have Skyward Sword, Twilight Princess, and The Wind Waker at the least. Possibly include OoT and MM too, but scaled up like Dream Drop Distance HD on PS4.

Nintendo doesnt really do collections any more do they?

Kirby got one for his anniversary, but Kirby games are rarely huge sellers. Mario got a collection for his anniversary, but it was literally a port of a SNES game and wasnt even the best version of that game. (Was missing World)

Metroid Prime Trilogy to this day boggles my mind. Its a kind of value that Nintendo usually doesnt offer anymore. Maybe they just give no fucks about Metroid >_> (though it was originally a single run limited edition steelbook that quickly sold out so...)

Zelda did have a collection...on the GameCube, as a preorder bonus. And its version of Majoras Mask was broken. >_>

I dont see them ever doing a Zelda collection again tbh. They know that theyll make a lot more money selling the games individually.

Which is why I want it on Switch, lol. They did extended prints without the steel case as well as releasing it on Wii U eShop unaltered...but on Switch it would be perfect as an HD remake considering how they'd have to re-do the controls.

I just want those three games with the same kind of HD remaster treatment that WW and TP got with some extra additions...that'd be awesome...

Skyward Sword would basically have to be remade from the ground up. Dunno if they're willing to do that.

That sounds along the lines of Disney. They don't seem to do it either. For example, The Pirates of the Caribbean 5 movie collection is a UK exclusive. Something like that would be an easy buy here in the US, but Disney avoids it. There isn't a Phase 2 or soon to be Phase 3 collection for Marvel. Phase 1 is something super expensive.

A Collector's Edition-style featuring the four main 3D games would be awesome.

Even a TP & TWW bundle would be cool, even though it'd be redundant since both have already had individual remakes in the recent years.

I agree with the unlikelihood of SS due to the controls/play-style.

I think theyd be leaving too much money on the table if they did that. There are a bunch of good NES/SNES games that Id be more than willing to pay for some collections.

Zero chance. IF these games come to the Switch, they'll be sold separately and cost 50 dollars each.

Nintendo doesn't seem to be the type who would remaster games just because, unless there were an actual technilogical need for it, if not that, then something to smooth the corners. like i would've said that something like Twilight Princess would've made sense to port for the Wii U since it was pretty big on Wii, though the Wii U itself could play Wii discs natively.

Either that, or Nintendo tends to remake games primarily to either recoup sales or to promote the technology. like the Metroid Prime Trilogy was an extreme boon since the games themselves collectively were rated pretty highly, but it also promoted the waggle of the Wiimote. whereas there were gamecube games that were released as budget titles/up-ports like Pikmin or Mario Tennis. Mario All-Stars anniversery release was extremely lazy considering the actual size of the game, with most of the actual celebration being the printed material that came with it. Also, the compilation came out pretty late, chances are people already own a few of Mario's games from the VC anyway, barring the graphics/sound quality, the games were 1:1 with their NES counterparts.

Kirby on the other hand, the series was spread pretty wide as far as console reprentation goes. Kirby's collection even had a few gameboy games on there (unheard of, in terms of Wii's Virtual Console), a challenge mode (in Return to Dreamland's engine) and even a few episodes of the anime. a far more larger celebration of the franchise history, when compared to Mario All-Stars. kind of surprised there wasn't Tilt 'N Tumble, though it'd probably be hard for a VC emulator to run natively ontop of a model that tilts alongside the Wii controller.

Zelda? it has a weird mix between not as big (compared to it's popularity in Europe/America) in Japan, but not as much as a priority for ports since they're usually technically sound. individual games might get HD ports, but it's going to be a farcry from something like either remakes or reimaginings of the first 2 games. even now they're going in a strange direction with Link's Awakening.

Die hard fans of Zelda in Japan would probably definitely buy games when they come out. making a collection on a single cart just seems like a way to put all their eggs in one basket, rather than just doing one game at a time. the existance of the Virtual Console makes it a hard bargain, unless there's a large hook involved to spring for the remake/ports.

Next games they should do would be Oracles, and maybe another Four Swords-type game...with Adventures tacked on as a party game? heck, maybe even Navi/Tetra Trackers if they can figure out a replacement for the GBA stuff, other than having 4 Switches set up locally.
