i thought my pee would make the car run, so i took a stool, climbed it, opened the gas lid (it was an old car, you open the gas lid manually from outside, not from the button from inside the car) and took my pee pee out, and peed into the gas hole.

the next day my granpa wanted to use the car and it wont turn on properly he had to take down the whole tank and drain it manually all.

I am surprised that urine would cause that to happen. But, I am not an expert on urine.

I'm not sure this is true either. Especially as a kid, I doubt you have the volume to severely disrupt the engine from combusting. I also doubt your urine would've made it straight to the cylinders within a days time.

I can't imagine it being too different than trying to run water through the line. Gas gets aerosoled when it injects/enters the cylinder. Water and assumedly urine since it is pretty similiar, would just bunch up and not turn to mist due to how its set up.

He basically hydrolocked or almost hydrolocked the car. If it got into the cylinder it'd wreck it. If it simply didn't start then something else failed in a good way. If the engine had to be replaced I'd sure it'd be a bigger ordeal.

If that's the case then I can assume it was stopped somewhere in the fuel line. The pump may or may not have picked it up, usually they don't care as they're intended to suck up liquid anyways.

If he didn't have to open the block and drain the cylinders then I guess you can count yourself or him lucky, because something else along the line didn't do its job. Thus failed in a good way.

As for it being questionable, it's quite possible to stop a car from starting by using water/urine. The part I'm confused by is if he didn't have to clear the cylinders then where the hell did it go/fail. Might have gotten some in there, but was able to get enough out through the tank and fuel line? That's my only guess.

Thanks for the insight. I now feel like somewhat of an expert on the extent of damage urinating into a gas tank can cause.

It's basically water, with other stuff in it. But to simplify it you can just use water. Water in the engine/fuel line is bad. A small amount won't destroy it, but will strangle the power output until it's cleared. In some cases it just won't start up. If a large amount is injected while it's running it can bend and crack the rods/pistons and even split the block.

In this case I can only assume it was just enough to prevent it from starting.

If you want to know something really disasterous, sugar and that liquid glass stuff. Permadeath, and the one was used during cash for clunkers.
