...Taken the boat back to the Wall then rode back to Winterfell to sit on the throne as the King of the North? The only people who were upset with him were the Unsullied, and they had already left for Naath by the time he got to the Wall. What, was Bran going to lead an army North to enforce the Unsullied demands that Jon be killed? Were the Unsullied going to land on Naath, learn about the news, then sail back to the North and try to defeat an army of Northmen to take Jon's head? Was Jon suppose to feel like "repenting" by going to the Wall? Because it certainly didn't seem that way when he abandoned the Night's Watch again to live with the Wildlings.

Meh his honor kept him from not going to the wall or something. It's a dumb ending for all of the characters, and Sansa has only shown that she's completely incapable of much yet she gets to sit on the throne. But at least she looked pretty hot in all black.

He has said this repeatedly.

He didnt want the Iron Throne and he was hesitant when they nominated him as king of the north but only went with it because he needed to get Dany to help him with the white walkers.

jon being sent back to the wall was probably his blessing in disguise. he never wanted to rule or lead, and now he's back with people he likes doing what he likes. you could see he was happy with the outcome in the last few secs of the episode

Bran would be king of the north in basic succession but as pointed out cruelly by Sansa his dick dun broke.

Which is why she is Queen, regardless of whether he is king of the realm. He can't sire any children and he is the last alive Male born of Ned.

The northern lords supported Sansa over John after he went South to bend the knee to Dany.
Even though they followed John, they felt like they we're sold out. Throughout the 7th Season you get to hear some of those rumblings about it.

Chances are at this point Sansa has more clout than John.

Sansa has been the only one keeping the North together after she won the Battle of the Bastards.
