Star Wars over all. Gone With The Wind at the time because there was less shit to do. My grandmother told me she saw it four-five times in the theater.

Probably Star Wars.
Gone With the Wind was a cultural phenomenon, but it didn't inspire 101 imitators. For the most part, Hollywood just let it be its own thing. You might be able to argue that it helped to shape Hollywood's opinion of the Civil War -- which might be more of a hurt than a help -- but Hollywood was already strongly promoting the notion of the "Lost Cause." It's difficult to directly tie anything down and say that it happened specifically because Gone With the Wind did it. With Star Wars, you know that 60% of science fiction that came after 1978 was directly influenced by Lucas's film and its sequels. ... Copied to Clipboard!
