Everyone responding should also list the number of speeding tickets they've gotten.
Personally, I'm terrified of getting one, so I drive the limit or even a little slower (65-70). You can argue your way out of a flow-of-traffic ticket for going too slow, but good luck with hard evidence that you were speeding. A tad under 80, especially if it's Virginia (where I live) where you can get charged with reckless driving for anything over 80. But generally I just go with the flow of traffic and won't be the fastest car on the road.
I've never gotten a speeding ticket. Only moving violation I got was when I turned into a bus-only lane at an airport by accident and I pled that down to a non-moving in court. --- Link165 basically just won.-Neosporin_v2 CEnco de mayo(5/5/07) ... Copied to Clipboard!

Well, you can put a radar detector up in your car which will tell you well ahead of the cops getting a speed for your car. They're illegal in DC and VA though. _Rinku_ posted... Everyone responding should also list the number of speeding tickets they've gotten. ive gotten four. deserved one of them. drove past the gore inbetween the highway and the exit ramp going around 90. other three were just cops being dicks. one of them was actually on the highway. i went into the passing lane to pass the dude driving in front of me. he started speeding up to not let me pass and i sped up to like 85-90 trying to get past him. turns out that fucker was a cop (couldn't tell because it was dark) and he pulled me over. --- Ahem...there's SAND on my boots! -Kefka ... I live in Arlington. When I visit my father in New Mexico I go the speed limit (70-75) on I20 till a little past Abilene because it's a huge speed trap between Ft Worth and Abilene. I'm doing damn near 100 till the TX/NM border then it's back down to 65 the rest of the way. The NM State Police love to pull over cars with Texas plates.
