Current Events > It's scary how active Reddit is. How many are on at any given time? 10,000+?

I've been to various subreddits, and some of them have maybe hundreds of thousands on at certain times, and that's just individual subreddits. Does any part of the website say exactly how many people are on? When I think about how GameFAQs has shrunk from peak time 6,000 to 2,000, it's really depressing.

ive been banned from 2 subreddits for stupid reasons
i got banned from the onion hater reddit for saying sour cream and onion chips arent bad cause they dont taste like onions at all

and got banned from subredditdrama because one of the things they linked to interested me so i posted in the thread they linked to which got me banned

the onions one bothers me because all of the onion hater posers there
so many posts of people showing all the onions they had to pick out of their food
a real onion hater knows you cant eat food that had onions in it at all because the onion juice soaks in and ruins the entire meal so picking them out does nothing!!

This type of message board format is seen as antiquated by young people nowadays. That's just progress - in the late 90s these style boards were what killed off usenet groups for the mainstream.
