The brain releases chemicals that cause powerful hallucinations when someone is gravely injured or near death. As far as knowing things they couldnt have known its likely just the person subconsciously picking up things happening around them even while theyre unresponsive

A basic understanding of brain physiology explains it away. In short, different sections of the brain shut down at different times, causing the sensations people describe in NDEs.
