It was really because of his campaign and his new potential for a nationalist candidate who was resonating with the public in a very intense way. The alt-right found something in Trump. Robert E. Lee Several hundreds of white supremacists and neo-nazi's marked the streets with tiki torches on the University of Virginia campus chanting slogans.
