Honestly, I was more ticked with the other dragons being killed so easily.

What depresses me about season 8 is that there are still so many unanswered questions about the lore and it doesn't appear that they will be resolved in the 80 minutes that remains in the series. I just wish they had stretched it out a bit instead of condensing everything in so few episodes.

Literally 3 out of 5 proposed spin offs in the works at hbo are moving forward. You'll get your goddamn lore, relax.

I saw someone on reddit suggest that last episode should have had the Varys stuff. Focus on him for about twenty minutes, showing that he's plotting and possibly succeeding, but then end the episode with him being executed. Then Rhaegal could die in this episode and it makes it more reasonable that Dany would go off the deep end.

Multiple ships had ballistas not just his, so a few ships got a shot in.

Also they were originally shot from the side as a surprise, seeing as it was originally an ambush. If you'll notice, when the dragon got hit they missed repeatedly when shooting at the last dragon.

Lastly, when she retaliated she made sure to come from above which made her harder to target because while looking for her they were partially blinded by the sun.

It's a goddamn fantasy show. Suspend your disbelief for 2 fucking seconds goddamn.

I thought the earlier Varys scene with that girl was because they were trying to get Dany to eat, since she was upset over her world collapsing and stuff. Only later did I see an interpretation where they were trying to poison her and it was appearing suspicious to everyone.

I'm not really upset with Dany going mad, I saw that coming.

What I kind of hate is just how pointless and stupid everyone has been acting the past two seasons.

-Tyrion doesn't want bloodshed, never mentions the secret entrances into the Red Keep to anyone. Never even proposes they use these in an attempt to rescue Missandai
-Dragons get killed like they are nothing, suddenly they're able to solo everything.
-Jaime going to the North so that the dead won't kill his child, suddenly he doesn't give a shit about the kid just Cersie.
-Arya has killed dozens of people in horrifying ways all in the name of revenge, decides it isn't worth it cause she doesn't want to lose her innocence and be like the Hound.
-The Long Night ended up being like half a night.
-Having to go north to get a wight to convince Cersei to assist with White Walkers only for her to not assist anyways and her Army not being there having absolutely no fucking effect whatsoever.

There's more but everyone is just acting so stupid.

Arya also didn't mention that she was planning to go kill Cersei. If she had done so and demonstrated her face-changing abilities, Daenarys probably could have been convinced to hold off on attacking.

Between Arya, Bran, Varys, and Davos, this should have been a gg no re situation with Daenarys never having to leave Winterfell.

Honestly, the Golden Company being obliterated like that would have been cool if it been in a better season/episode. To have Cersei trust her safety so much to this magnificent army and have it be destroyed without effort could have been neat. Maybe have them come up with the scorpions and have them be the one to kill Rhaegal last episode to give them credit as a threat.

As it was, it was just hilarious.

I'm not pissed about Drogon never getting hit by scorpions.

He's the largest dragon and Dany's favorite. He's probably more intelligent more agile and has quicker reflexes than the other two as well, which is probably one more reason Dany always chose to ride him, because she knew he was the safest.

Also he's the only one that HAS been hit by a massive projectile in the past and survived. So knowing how shitty if feels, he probably tries all that much harder to dodge them.

Im pretty sure hes not even the only one who knows about those secret entrances. They could have had a small team infiltrate Kings Landing to take Cersei dead or alive.

When Euron's ship was destroyed that really should have been the end of him. There is no point to have him show up to "mortally wound" Jaime when afterwards Jaime is able to go all the way up to Cersei and then make it back down where he dies standing on his feet.

This is honestly not an attack on you, just that your reply reminded me of Suicide Squad. There was so much hype before its release. A lot of people ended up hating that movie, but I thought it was Ok. It definitely had flaws and was a disappointment, but some people were saying it was the worst movie ever. Game of Thrones Season 8 is like that, except that fans are even more invested because of the years spent following the show.

Drogon's always been OP. Since the beginning he's been the strongest, most rebellious, most intelligent Dragon. He even shrugged off the dragon killing tech when he was hit. This isn't anything new.

And the episode was fine. Varys deserved to die. Arya's decision, and not talking to Dany (because they don't trust each other) is fine as well.

That would have been nice in the context of the show. Urine killing him was a clear instance of the show having to hit one of the 'milestones' that GRRM laid out for them in his general synopsis; it's pretty obvious to me that Euron (I won't even say 'book-Euron' and 'show-Euron' at this point; as far as I'm concerned the waste of screentime we got in the show is officially named Urine) eventually manages to kill or otherwise remove from Dany's control one of her dragons in the books, likely via the enchanted horn or some other awesome method. So D&D felt obligated to hit this milestone in the general sense, but with their usual attitude of 'I don't give a shit, let Urine take it out with a scorpion or something.' And as we know from previous GoT kills, sneak attacks carry a x1000 critical multiplier in Westeros.

God, what an abortion of a character. As someone else pointed out, Urine fighting Jaime was completely unnecessary on any level; he could have exited the show with a shred of dignity by having an epic death aboard his ship. We could have had an awesome nightmarish pirate lord, and instead we got a complete buffoon whose only true arc was having a pissing contest with Jaime.
