Furthermore, she has several years of experience with birds is going to know how to properly care for ones that are a very common household pet. This is coming from someone who grew up with birds in the house, two of them in fact...a cockatoo and a parrot.

I used to be the store manager of a Petco, and raised a hatchling White Bellied Caique, and tended to her for nearly 9 months until we wound up selling her. I cried for like a week, I never expected getting attached to a bird like that.

So I got a bird, a parakeet, and it learned how to open it's cage door, and flew out one day and the cat ate it.
