30s >>>>>>> 20s and its not even close IMO.

Why

Two things for me personally. Career took off and you have enough life experience to give you perspective and appreciate the small things.

Im 26 and feel like Im in a dead end career while other people my age are killing it

When I was 26 I pretty much had nothing. What did you go to school for?

The real world is never fun. People think they can have fun but no. You don't. You witness depression, death, sadness, and everyone in pain and you suffer through it as people destroy their own countries through pollution and idiots.

I can't recall having fun with my life at all. Being in my 30s, it has gotten worse with the bad chances I've made being around piss garbage Dad and his step children. Just by their accusations, I was almost put away and been in therapy ever since. If it wasn't for Rehabilitation services, I would be forever stuck getting a job, because of them.

We will all die alone anyway, half of you will get divorced, half of you will have a severe medical diagnosis, have of you will have kids that ignore you when you get old. Enjoy it now because 99% of us will have a miserable ending and no amount of money or love can stop it :)

Wow so many negative people here, if you made good decisions in your 20s then 30 and up are not only fun but youll have tons of money and time to enjoy life.

Make shitty decisions however and you will be crippled with debt and miserable, you have to think long term for what is best for you not what is expected.

I worked my ass off in my twenties and while I'm not retired I can pretty much do whatever the hell I want and I'm not tied down by debt from buying bull shit I couldnt afford.

But sure, do it your way

Nah, I'll probably never get married unless I meet a woman I literally can't imagine my life without. And I don't really think that way sooooo, probably not happening. Im also not afraid of the concept of dying alone, lol. I more concerned with not living miserably

You've confused money with work. Common mistake

People generally know bad things happen but I think we tend to get a better idea of the extent of it as we age and get more life experience.

if anything, it seems to me that as I get older the more I notice that the problems people concern themselves with seem small and petty compared to the kind of large tragedies that actually occur, idk

This whole cliche fear of dying alone if you don't meet the right SO is sort of silly given that people generally die "alone" anyway. It's very rare that you die with your partner. Probably the more sensible fear is of living alone and unhappy and later looking back on a life lived alone and unhappy.

Which makes sense if your unhappy when you're alone. But I'm not built that way.

Dying alone is a dumb notion. I would feel terrible if I were dying and the thought that i'm leaving my wife a widow, or having to deal with her dying before me. Im not saying that should keep you from getting married.

Family is obviously important. That doesnt always HAVE to be a wife and kids

Then all you do is work 5 days a week 40 hours just to pay loans, bills, child support, alimony, mortgage, etc. Till you turn 65, retire, then die. Very few people will actually be lucky in life (being worth millions, retiring early, etc)

Retire at 65? By the time I get there Ill have to work another 10 more years.
