God dammit, the Wiki gave me a false sense of excitement for a minute. I was looking at the stages, and a section was showing how to position your echelon when the boss targets certain panels...And they just had to use AK-12 as one of the units in the example :<

So I just picked the game up like two weeks ago. Pretty fun. Seems relatively generous on pulls, but now I have too many 5* units to upgrade properly lol

I think the game has a fixed 5* pull within your first 5 (?) attempts or something. I ended up getting Welrod as my first super rare, I think. But yeah, if you get too many 5*s early on, it'll be harder to level up, which sucks, because the more dummy links a unit has, the higher its EXP multiplier.

If you're new, remember that you can get 30 free gems per week by doing the 'share' button on certain pages. If you link your Twitter/Facebook, you can just generate a screenshot and cancel; the game still rewards you. Should be helpful when it comes time to get slot upgrades and stuff.

Good to know on the share gems. Gonna have to keep that in mind.

Nice job pulling Contender. I think there are some people around here who still haven't gotten one, haha. Her buff tiles hit every square if you put her in the 5-slot (middle).

Players call it "core hell" for a reason.

It's not worth trying to use so many high rarity T-Dolls so early in the game for that exact reason. A 2* or 3* doll that's dummy-linked a couple of times is much stronger than a 5* doll at the same level that's dummy linked only once (or not at all) due to lack of cores to do so.

That early in the game, you should be working toward building two solid squads, at least one of which should be a standard AR/SMG squad. Out of the ones you have, focus on dummy-linking Type 79 (she's a pretty good tank SMG), WA2000 (she's one of the best RF's in the game for an RF/HG team), and just one of the AR's you mentioned. Fill out the rest of your squads with 2* or 3* dolls, plus the AR Team 4* dolls you get from the story. USE THE MAIN STORY DOLLS, THEY ARE ALL FANTASTIC. DO NOT CORE THEM. USE THEM.

I should mention, if you already turned the story dolls into cores as a rookie mistake, you can actually get them back (one per week). You'll have to go into the t-doll index listing, select their file, then find a little tab that recreates 'em. It has a rarity-based core fee, though.

I had no plans to core M4A1, who is my only story 4* unit so far. I just made it to Chapter 3, story wise.

She's an AR that buffs ARs. I felt that alone was enough reason to keep her.

Yeah, AR buffs unrelated to SMGs are very rare. Off the top of my head, the only others on EN server are AUG (event reward) and Ribeyrolles.

For those of us who played at the time? Yeah. But a sizable chunk of the player base didn't play it, didn't finish it, or started after the event was over.

I mean people might play the story once just to see what happens, then forget about it a week later. But that unique equipment will forever be planted within your game, stuck to that one unit, making it better than it could ever be with something generic :3

Well, that was absolutely adorable. The first two episodes of Girls Frontline: Healing Chapter are online now (only with Chinese audio so far, Japanese dub coming later and English dub probably coming never) but sadly not in any place I can link here. You'll have to find them on your own.

I couldn't disagree more. We already get enough depression and suffering from the story of the game itself, so we don't need more of it from seeing the story again except animated. I like the idea of the anime being "healing" to take our minds off the game's depression and suffering

Why, Kar98k, of course! Remember when, in the first episode of Konosuba, Aqua makes fun of Kazuma for the way that he got isekai'd and then she gets her just desserts courtesy of him when he wishes to take her with him to another world and now she becomes pretty useless? That's basically Kar98k right there. She's supposed to be the poster girl of a 5*, but for some reason, she's only a glorified dorm decoration without additional costumes at best.

So...that explains why Kar98 looks so depressed when drunk...
