What was the span of time between FF Versus 13 and FF 15s last dlc? I seem to recall that being substantial.

11 years I believe

They announced FFX in the Summer of 2000 and released it in December 2001 in America (back when translations took a long time)

Do you, like, live under a rock or something. Also the tech demo youre thinking of was from 2007 or so.

announcement for sure. they even followed up with a "gameplay" video later in the year.

Damn

i must have read the year in the title wrong, i just glanced past it and assumed he meant the 2007 demo.
also must have completely forgotten about/missed that announcement.
nevermind me, then.

I suppose its easy to forget about the 2015 announcement when weve heard basically jack shit about it the past two years. :/

It's a bad idea to announce that far ahead of release and all but it's kinda silly to assume that Square only worked on one title at a time at the turn of the century. Those titles would have been in development far longer than the 4 months apiece that your OP implies.

The PS2 era was much better in a lot of ways. I'd take that time period's graphics over today's if it meant I got more good games since they wouldn't all take 5+ years to make.

Bioware is a similar problem today, just going up to this generation. Between 2007-2012, they made Mass Effect 1,2,3 Dragon Age Origins, Awakenings, & DA2. In the six years since, we've got DA Inquisition & ME Andromeda, both of which were disappointing.
