VIII.
It perfectly balances the old-school gameplay of the series, with memorable characters, a fun story, great visuals and simultaneously doesn't have the punishing difficulty or truly annoying grinding like some of the other entries. Best of the series imo ... Copied to Clipboard!

I'd say IV. XI is up there for introducing new players now considering it feels like classic Dragon Quest while being more accessible and having a ton of QoL changes that really improve the experience.

XI has some QoL improvements. But imho it feels like such a step back from VIII in many ways. Poor world map or lack thereof. Double the characters but each is half the character any of VIII's cast were. I think the poor music has been talked to death so suffice to say I agree. And there's definitely a difficulty drop from VIII to XI. --- FFVII Remake: A disaster in the making. I'll laugh at whatever I find funny whether you like it or not. ... Copied to Clipboard!
