The Washington Post reported that not long after her 20 y/o daughter was found stabbed to death in a cornfield that caused a nationwide coverage on her disappearance, including Vice President Mike Pence who vowed to find her before it was revealed she was killed by an illegal immigrant, that Laura Caldeerwood has welcomed 17 y/o Ulises Felix into her home!! He is an undocumented immigrant whose family worked on the Yarrabee Dairy Farm alongside her daughter's killer, 24 y/o Cristhian Bahena Rivera. Rivera has been living in the US without a visa and worked as a farmhand so he could send money to his parents back in Mexico Felix's parents fled to Illinois to flee the outpouring of anti-immigrant vitriol and left their teen son behind so he could finish high school. Mollie's younger brother, Scott was friends with Felix and invited him to stay with their family at his mother's spare bedroom. 55 y/o Laura grappled with the decision, concluded that her late daughter, who in life was welcoming and progressive as she was supportive of the rights of immigrants, would have wanted her to help the young man. Over the last 3 months, she learned that he has ties to Rivera as his female cousin was the mother of the 24 y/o killer and Felix revealed that both of Rivera's parents were in Mexico and before the arrest, Felix's mother had taken it upon herself to look after him and feed him every night since he has no other family in Iowa. Rivera was arrested and charged with first degree murder, a month after Tibbets was last seen running solo and never returned. Right-wing Republicans and Trump seized upon this cause to call for tougher immigration laws and increased border security. Trump told his supporters "The incredible, beautiful young woman's death should never have happened. You heard about today with the illegal alien coming in very sadly from Mexico and you saw what happened to that incredible, beautiful young woman." Tibbett's family however were horrified that their daughter's death was being used as a crudgel to attack illegal immigrants including their cousin who blasted conservatives for using her for their agenda. Her father, Rob published a scathing op-ed eviscerating right-wing media and using his daughter as a pawn to advance anti-immigrant agenda and said that his daughter was "profoundly racist". It was Mollie's open and accepting nature that inspired her mother to open her home to an illegal immigrant despite conservatives fuming over the acceptance as the family received horrifying phone calls from strangers saying "Do you want to Die by an illegal like your daughter?". Rivera has plead not guilty to first degree murder and faces life in prison if convicted Are you outraged over this? This reminds me of a story a few years ago where a man who let two homeless people live with him and after a few days or weeks they up and killed him.

This boy has nothing to do with the person who murdered her daughter and if she wants to help him why is it anyone's business? If the government cares they can deport him. The government is the only party that has a right to insert their nose here.
