I'll honestly never understand. I don't drink so I'll never how it feels. But doesn't it make you miserable after? Like throwing up, head aches? Why go through all that? Doesn't seem fun to me.

Social drinking = lots of relaxed fun and laughter with friends and/or increased confidence talking to girls if that makes you nervous normally.

Getting properly messed up = no actual fun.

The key is moderation!

After a dozen years of experience you won't feel like that.

Back in the day a 40 or a few shots was all I needed.

Now I can drink a 12pk and almost 3/4 of a 5th and walk away like I haven't drank anything.

But yet still have some feels.

It's been 17 months since the last time I drank, and I don't miss it at all.

I was like that, but not nearly as much (8 beers). I'd slow down if I was you, it will catch up with you sooner then later.

Here's what you do: Buy a six pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade or Smirnoff Ice. You've never drank, so you'll have no tolerance and be sensitive to the bitter taste of liquor. These will get you lit. Drink 2-3.

The perfect amount of drunk is just a bit beyond buzzed. You're impaired but not wasted.

Drink some water and sober up a bit before going to bed, and no hangover.

Yeah if you can perfect maintaining a buzz you'll be golden. Tough to do sometimes when people are calling for shots all night and you keep having ipas with 8% abv and whatnot.
