I just beat Brave Fencer Musashi (PS1) -- 4/10 My file is at 23h 20m, but it probably took around 30 hrs.

I completely lost interest and didn't play it for over 2 months. I realized why I got sick of it and that's because it has a very Zelda-like feel to me. In order to plow through to the end, I used a walkthrough. It would have gotten a 6/10, except for Squaresoft's near-fetish during this period of having chase sequences with instant death, as well as other mini-games. Steamwood is extremely annoying (like anyone would actually design anything in such a manner). The final section was the last straw for giving it a positive score, especially the platform jumping to scale the final tower. Add that if you lose to the final form of the final boss, you get sent back to its first form with all of the items you used gone, and that the last save point is before the final guardian (meaning you get to do the atrocious chase and tower climb platforming again), and the end stretch left a terrible taste in my mouth. Reading up on how to get all the action figures, of course they have to have some extremely convoluted way to get one of them.

The game wasn't particularly difficult, as I don't believe any of the bosses took much more than a half-dozen attempts. The stupid timed sections, rail cars, and chase sequences were the biggest stumbling blocks for me. This is yet another Squaresoft PS1 game that I really can't stand.

Spy Hunter came in 2nd place last time, so gets held over.

If Armor Battle is multi-player only, as many Intellivision games are, I'll play whatever comes in 2nd.

Test Drive: really primitive simulated 3D, cliff wall on one side, abyss on the other. My son and I played it continuously. Then Test Drive 2: The Duel. Then Test Drive 3, real ray-traced open-world 3D, with interactive stuff like cows and a train!

I was reminded of Test Drive 3 while driving cross-country offroad in Test Drive Unlimited, but no cows, no train.

^ I'd say it still has a shot. No real heavy hitters in this one.

Lego Star Wars is like massively popular. To be fair, it earned the popularity, and if Outrun 2 wasn't on the list, I'd be happy to vote for that one myself.

Seems several people voted Outrun 2 since my post though, so yay for that.

Shame you didn't, Outrun 2 is awesome gameplay, and it has a version of the original hidden in the game, which the later 2006 didn't include.

And Lego Star Wars wins! Maybe I'll actually finish one of the multitude of Star Wars games I own.

I'll probably be dead before I finish them all.

The only Outrun game I played was some Outrun 2 thousand something game that was on the Genesis. I almost voted for LEGO Star Wars simply cause that's the only game on this list I've played. But like I said, since I've been playing The Crew 2 I wanted to vote for an arcade racer. While I never played Ridge Racer, I did play Ridge Racer 4 or some later RR game.

2019, I loved that one too, but it wasn't truly Outrun. Developed by different developers and originally was going to be released as Junkers High.

Here is someone playing 2006 (updated version of 2) in a challenge mode.
