this lesbian couple i know have had a baby. They can't call them both mom and they can't call them mom #1 and #2 and they're not going to call one dad. i don't want to ask them in case its rude but whats the kid going to call them
so what happens in conversation? you can't say like "Is this present for your dad?" "No it's for my mom." it becomes "Is this present for your mom?" "No it's for my mom" or like "so whose picking you up from school?" "mom is" well who is mom? do they just use firstnames? Because that seems pretty rude for kids to their parents. i never thought about this before. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!
