to other people/society? yes because most people have empathy and deep down want to see human life to continue
to the universe as a whole? no because we're just tiny little cells doing things that tiny little cells do on a grander scale - so sort of meshed into a process of a greater thing, but we can't comprehend because we're just cells.

No. I value human life because I am a human, and we're social animals who are biologically prone to caring about that sort of thing. No such thing as intrinsic value, in the same thing that there's no such thing as intrinsic caring.
