I saw it at a local theater as part of their Christmas series. The audience was electric. Quoting lines, clapping every time there was an explosion, etc. And we sang Let It Snow along with the end credits.

Seeing it on TV is great, but seeing it in a theater is like spending 2 hours at Disney World with no lines.

I do have to ask though, should Die Hard count as a buddy cop movie? I've always seen it as one in which one cop was at the center of the action and the other was outside the fire.

I think in order to count as a Christmas Movie, at least one character's arc has to involve discovering and/or searching for the meaning of Christmas.

based on that criteria, Die Hard is not a Christmas movie
