It's obviously bad that they did, but several news articles over the years have given me the impression that India is a total backwater in terms of privacy, freedom, and real democracy. They let equipment sit in customs for weeks to months because they collect fees for each day it's in there and nobody from FedEx communicates with customs, then no one from customs communicates with local delivery services when you want to get shit moving along. I've had shipments sitting and rack up $1300 in fees from just sitting there and they do it all the time. It's a fucking racket and now they're going to actually open and inspect our intellectual property lmao.
