They weren't pissed at me due to the look of pure shock and horror on my face they could tell I wasn't expecting that but they answered him seriously and seemed rather annoyed. Though I can't blame them after being asked such a culturally insensitive question.

This reminded me of an episode of Insomniac with Dave Attell where he goes to a bar where people bring their dogs and he's talking to an Asian dude and asked "when you're really drunk, do you ever look at the dogs and think..." (implying something sexual) and dude, with no hesitation, replies "I'm Korean. I think about eating them."

When you're from a third world country, meat is meat. It don't matter if it's squirrel meat, rat meat or pigeon meat. Meat is a delicacy. A lot of western people are just really ignorant of these things, that's all.

As a side note pigeon is great i had it at a chinese restaurant best part of the meal.

Not sure about dog, but Ive never seen stray cats around Chinese restaurants.

Ill say, chicken or cat, its tasty. I really like Mongolian cat, orange cat, and sesame cat.

A restaurant in the city I went to college in had squirrel and pigeon on the menu, that's in England. Local tradition.
