He's a goofy looking character so I kind of get it why he doesn't appear like that outside cartoons. He needs more videogame appearances in general though.

But anyway I appreciate Spider-Verse taking the Ultimate version to the extreme while also letting him keep the hat.

I want more Shocker, I was disappointed when I saw the cheat code to play as him in the first movie game and it was only a costume.

I guess it's hard to give a logical reason as to why a super-powered businessman would wear a really convincing Halloween mask.

Rhino, Shocker, Doctor Octopus, Scorpion and Sandman don't wear one
Venom is formed by the symbiote
Shocker wears padding to cover his face thanks to his gloves
Black Cat has a rather simple mask
Mysterio wears a fishbowl and is often mocked for it

I'm talking from the perspective of a movie. If he's wearing a cheap Goblin Halloween mask he'd look pretty sad. If it was an elaborate mask that gives him facial expressions people would probably find it distracting and wonder why.

MCU would probably make him look good except they said they don't want to use any Spidey villains that were already in movies. which is pretty messed up. that's like if the DC movies said "No Joker in batman"

I liked Raimi's Green Goblin. It's like he put his own little Raimi-esque flavor into it and made the character his own while still making it clear that it's, in fact, Green Goblin.

That's pretty fair. Batman and Spidey have the biggest and best rogues galleries by a mile. I would much rather they work their way down the list than reuse guys we've already seen multiple times.

I think his armor helps make the whole thing feel like a big budget adaption of 1970s Japan's Spider-Man.

Willem Dafoe is still the best casting in any Spidey movie.

what if they made Spider-Verse game? with several playable characters and you play different ones in different parts of the story, or even have multiplayer co-op missions
