Ready Player One
I haven't seen either of them, but I'm hedging my bet with the expectation that Tomb Raider probably takes itself too seriously. Seen both, they were both watchable, but I'd put Ready Player One on top, simply because nostalgia and pure spectacle.

Ready Player One is very good once you get past all the nostalgia pandering. It has its faults, but it is classic Spielberg storytelling and spectacle.
